Trauma

If you are feeling on edge, having difficulty concentrating, experiencing nightmares or flashbacks, struggling with feelings of shame and guilt, feeling numb or sad, and having unexplained body sensations you may be having a trauma reaction. A trauma reaction can take many forms and affects everyone on different levels. Traumatic experiences leave us feeling unsafe long after the danger is gone and often interfere with our daily functioning. I provide a safe and nurturing environment to slowly explore, unpacked, and reframe these experiences. The goal of trauma work is to have the client, regain power over their lived experience rather than the other way around.

Anxiety

If you are struggling with racing thoughts, excessive worry, irritability, fears of what others are thinking, anxiety attacks, or feeling on edge you may be struggling with anxiety. Anxiety is pervasive and invasive, but it does not need to control your life. I provide clients with tools to fight and push back against their anxiety. Left unchecked anxiety creates cycles that preserve the symptoms, in my practice I help clients identify those cycles and break the habits that are contributing to their anxiety thoughts.

Self-Worth and Self-Esteem

If you are struggling with negative self-thoughts, beliefs you are unworthy, beliefs that others are judging you or think poorly of you, if you are harsh on yourself, and don’t value self-care you may be struggling with your self-esteem and self-worth. Sometimes our experiences or messages we have internalized affect how we see ourselves and the value we truly hold. It’s easy to take a rejection, critique, or abandonment and attribute it to something that we lack. In my practice I work with clients to unpack and debunk these negative self-evaluations. Through reality testing, thought restructuring, praise, & validation clients are able to reframe the way they view themselves and improve their confidence and self-worth.
